See now I'm going to everywhere I can find. I'm helping you! If you're sad; if you're mad. If you're feeling happy that's great! See? Everyone should be! If you're  stamping your feet to the beat. I think that's good!

If you're trying to play; go play. Maybe football. Maybe get on a soccer team; you can help them.

I guess i'm free to do; I am big enough to go out go away; to fly in an airplane.

It's like today on the world; I'm sitting there on top of everyone else! I can curl my hair; roll it up with duct tape! If I do I'm bushy in the marin!

2006 Barsuk Records

With the release of Free To Stay in 2006 Smoosh proved that they were here to stay.

The evolution has taken a turn. Find A Way was a huge hit. Smoosh found their way into Hollywood working with Ace Norton. To promote their song, they produced a video. They then found their way into late night television on the ABC talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

 Asy and Chloe are sitting in a crowded park at Lollapalooza.
Chloe: Hi, I'm Chloe-
Asy: -and I'm Asy-
Chloe: -and we're in a band called Smoosh, and we're gonna show you
our music video, Find a Way.

Asy: For this video, it was really fun making it because we're
friends with the guy who- Ace Norton, he was the one- I think he- he,
like, directed it, and was in charge of it, and we did this- he had
this idea to do, like, stop animation, and it was really cool because
he made it, like- I don't really know what it is, but it's this
really thing that you can see in the video, um, and it was like a
really cool idea-
Chloe: It's not stop- stop animation! It's, um, isn't…? Well, um,
maybe it is, but I thought- I thought that was, like, pic- I thought,
I thought stop animation was like with pictures.
Asy: Oh. I don't know. But um, and it was really fun, because we did
it in this really, like, weird, like, abandoned warehouse thing, and
there were all these different cool rooms, like, they were really
like, they had all this weird stuff in it, and um, and we had to do
this thing where we put on, like, tons of different outfits and then
filmed, like, all of us walking, like, we did it one at a time but
then he'd do this thing where he'd make it look like there were tons
of us, and it was just really fun making it `cause it was like a
really different, like, idea, a different thing that we were doing.
Chloe: Yeah.

Asy: It took about-
Chloe: Wait, we did it for one day, didn't we?
Asy: Two- we did it for- we did it for two days. And the, um, I think
the second day was [more?] fun because we got to go on one of these,
like, this roof, and, um, play soccer-
Chloe: -yeah-
Asy: -and that was part of the video. We got to play soccer, we love
playing soccer, so it was really fun.
Chloe: Yeah, I think- wait, has that part already happened?
Asy: No.
Chloe: Oh yeah, well, you'll see it, like, soon.

Chloe: Yeah, and those- the staircase was really cool, it's like a
piano.
Asy: Chloe, no, it was like the drawings of a piano on it or
something.

Chloe: I remember for this part, we, like, um, we- we did not know
what to do, because we were supposed to, like, um, dance, kind of-
well, not in this part, but it's gonna, like, come later… Um, yeah,
so we might look kind of strange.
Off-camera voice says something like Are you not good dancers?
Chloe: Well, I mean, we like dancing but we're not, I don't know,
like… We usually don't get, like, filmed when we're dancing, and we
usually don't, like, dance like-
Asy: Yeah, we like- he told us to do, like, crazy dancing and so we
look kind of weird, but it was really fun.
